Where Do Poets Get Their Ideas?

    Ellen S. Jaffe

Ellen S. Jaffe, author of two poetry collections, Water Children and Skinny-Dipping with the Muse, will explore this subject, reading and discussing some of her own poems to show the vast and varied wellspring into which poets dip their pens. The seminar will include a writing exercise, so participants can see for themselves how ideas and images develop. (The exercise will be fun for both beginners and experienced writers: Ellen believes that each time we sit down to write, we face a new beginning.) Ellen books, including a guidebook on writing will be available for sale.

Please register in advance either with our Program Coordinator, Charlotte King at gctoasties@gmail.com or with the St. Catharines Library by September 9, 2017.
